Junior Academy Trials - 2010/11

Next season our very successful Junior Academy section will consist of 8 teams, ranging from Under 7s to Under 11s. We're now on the look-out for elite players only to join these teams.

As Head Coach Jeremy Sauer says :
“Our players receive the very best coaching from professional & experienced AFC Wimbledon coaches whilst working on their own tailored player development plan. The standard of coaching and the player development philosophy we apply is unrivalled away from any professional club and gives every boy a fantastic opportunity to progress through to our Youth Academy (U12 – U16s) and on towards senior football. We're now looking to recruit top young players to join the club and add to the very talented group of players we already have“

Most teams train twice a week through-out the season at top facilities whilst playing weekend games in the Saturday AM Epsom & Ewell Football League (U7s – U10s) & Sunday AM Surrey Youth League (U11s).

The two trial dates available will be in the Wimbledon area as follows:

Saturday 8 May 2010

U7s & U8s: 9.00 am – 10.30 am
U9s & U10s: 11.00 am – 12.30 pm
U11s: 1pm – 2.30pm

Sunday 16 May 2010

U7s & U8s: 9.00 am – 10.30am
U9s & U10s: 11.00 am – 12.30pm
U11s: 1.00 pm – 2.30 pm

In 2010/11:
U11's = Year 6 ; U10's = Year 5 ; U9's: = Year 4 ; U8's = Year 3 ; U7's = Year 2

A description of the child's playing history inc. teams played for, leagues involved with, trophies/awards won, any external coaching etc. This will help us determine whether the player meets the requirements to attend a trial date, although this may not always apply for the younger age groups.
